FAQ

You have questions. We have answers!

GENERAl

Q

What are the proceeds of the Grove Rotary Ribfest used for?

A

Grove Rotary Ribfest is a fundraising initiative of Rotary Club of Spruce Grove. For more than 30 years, our club has improved our community through the operation of programs that develop young leaders, feed hungry families, escape family violence, and more. On top of that, our club has been responsible for the construction and enhancement of parks, playgrounds, and trails throughout Spruce Grove to make it an all-round great place to live.

In 2024, net proceeds of the event will be split evenly between our largest initiative, called Our Community Pantry, a food security program that provides meals in schools to hungry children and families experiencing food insufficiency and our club's general service projects fund that provides for all the other great projects and programs we do.

Q

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD/DRINKS OR ALCOHOL IN?

Visitors are asked not to bring any outside food/beverages and NO outside alcohol is allowed on the Festival grounds.

Alcohol is available for purchase in the designated licensed service areas (beer garden and VIP section).

Parking

Q

A

There are a few handicap parking stalls on site and a drop-off zone along Agrena Road and just outside the Agrena. Vehicles displaying a parking placard for people with disabilities will be allowed on-site by traffic control volunteers at the site entrances on Fifth Avenue from the south (past the Spruce Grove Public Library) or King Street from the west. If your vehicle doesn't have a parking placard but you still have people who need to be dropped off on-site (e.g. families with children or people about to be families with children!), please discuss this with the traffic control volunteers.

Q

WHERE DO I PARK?

A

There is limited general parking on site for guests at the event. VIP parking and parking for persons with disabilities IS available on site. General event parking is available at the Brookwood, Woodhaven, and Broxton School parking lots, only a short walk away. For patrons who might find the walk a challenge but don't have a parking placard, we have a drop-off lane right near the action. You may unload your passengers and belongings, and return to one of the designated parking lots.

Seating

Q

WILL THERE BE SEATING AVAILABLE?

A

Guests are welcome and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on Central Park's grassy areas to view the main stage. Lounge and patio seating will be available in the VIP area. Much more banquet seating will be available for all ages in the licensed area in front of the main stage. Families can stick together and not miss any of the action!
